Overview

My Mothercare is an online loyalty programme or platform associated with the Mothercare brand. It typically offers members various benefits, such as exclusive discounts, personalised offers, and, most importantly, access to parenting resources.

Design Process

For me, sketches offer an insight into where I can start the design journey. It helps me visualise initial ideas, improve them, and then later refine them before creating final designs, making it ideal for problem-solving.

01. Layout and Rebrand

New images, icons, colour schemes, and components that could be used across different platforms of the business were introduced and used to create the brand and user environment.

02. Due date data

Users of the programme could input their baby's due date. Mothercare could use this data to not only help offer promotions but also offer advice, tips, and much more information about their pregnancy journey to expecting parents.

03. Social Media Posts

Once the platform was in place, it was important to keep promoting it. Social media posts were also designed and created to help push promotions as well as benefit expecting parents.

The Impact

A loyalty programme that includes advice can foster a sense of community among expecting parents. Finally, the refresh worked... it encouraged repeat business and customer loyalty. Expecting parents may appreciate the personalised experience and support, which can lead to long-term customer relationships that complement the Mothercare brand persona.
