Virgin Experience Days offers over 4,000 amazing experience gifts, ranging from supercars to spa days and dining to exciting outings.
Virgin Experience Days wanted to create a feature that would invite customers to 'never miss a birthday or anniversary again!' This free gift reminder service enables users to include important dates in their 'My Account'. Plus, they'll receive a timely email reminder complete with gift recommendations in the lead-up to the special occasion.
Wireframes provide me with a visual representation of the space, structure, and layout of my web page or application design. It helps stakeholders as well as developers understand the arrangement of elements (as blocks) on the screen, such as the placement of buttons, text, images, and navigational menus.
Setting a reminder via a modal will allow the user to enter information about the occasion, date, and month they'd like to be reminded about.
By adding a mobile number to a reminder, Virgin Experience Days can send a reminder via SMS (with the user's consent). In addition to this, the mobile number can be edited or removed at anytime within the profile part of My Account.
What is the end product? In essence, an email displaying a countdown of how many days there are to the occasion, accompanied by useful shopping recomendations. Within their My Account homepage, it will also display a reminder on their dashboard for ease.
Adding this feature increased customer retention through the use of the gift recommendations presented to them. Over 40% of users (within the first 3 months of launch) who interacted with the feature went on to set gift reminders, ultimately increasing conversion.
